Much like how Shah Jahan chose to show his love for his wife by building an extraordinary marvel using brick and mortar, this project is also a token of the love shared by the couple. This is a project led by not one, but two strong women- the Client and the Architect
Coming from humble backgrounds, they wanted to grow and set a new standard for themselves. The project focused on luxury and stood out, boldly, from the existing archetype.
A small town with an existing and well-defined typology requires a strong move to break away from the norm. This project focuses on just that. Being the home of the town Sarpanch, the house had to balance being modern in the design style while maintaining its roots in tradition.
The spaces were well defined and had clear palette distinctions. The living and dining area incorporated design elements at every point. The onyx flooring, the traditional wooden furniture, the modern prints on the upholstery, and the designer light fixtures - are the small puzzle pieces that come together to give the entire balanced image.
On the contrary, the master bedroom and other rooms showcased a milder, pastel palette. The modern bathroom design and fixtures are offset by the printed, delicate wallpaper and handpicked fixtures.
The project captures the essence of the family that occupies it - bold and unique while staying humble and mindful.
